The law firm of Clark, Thomas & Winters began the general practice of law in 1938. The firm has strong roots in the local Austin economy and has played a substantial role in the history of the state of Texas. Since 1938, the firm has evolved into one of the leading Texas-based law firms with lawyers practicing in almost every area of civil law.
Clark, Thomas & Winters continues to grow along with the city in which it began. Just as the city of Austin has evolved into a major commercial center from a quaint town whose economy was based on state government and higher education, Clark, Thomas & Winters has evolved from a small general civil practice firm into a full service law firm dedicated to assisting its clients with every element of their legal needs. Clark, Thomas & Winters has accomplished this by recruiting and hiring only the finest lawyers with the most impressive credentials.
Clark, Thomas & Winters continuously seeks outstanding lateral attorneys to join our practice.
Clark, Thomas & Winters offers Summer Clerkship opportunities to second-year law students. Each fall, the firm interviews candidates from the finest Texas law schools through on-campus interview programs at The University of Texas School of Law, Baylor Law School, The University of Houston Law Center, and selected others.
Summer Clerks are given the opportunity to work with each practice group in the firm on a rotational basis. They are also partnered with shareholder and associate "liaisons" to assist them with their assignments and questions about the firm. In addition to having the opportunity to meet attorneys through their work assignments, the Summer Clerkship Program offers a variety of social activities to give the Summer Clerks an opportunity to get to know our attorneys and their families.
